The Mayo Clinic study validated that a personalized, predictive model that considers unique features of the individual (such as clinical characteristics, physiological variables, and the microbiome, in addition to nutrient content) is more predictive than current dietary approaches that focus only on the calorie or carbohydrate content of foods. DayTwo is a science first evidence based company that began from science conducted at the Weizmann Institute. This research showed that different people will have different glycemic responses to the same foods. DayTwo has exclusively licensed this technology and built a Personalized Medicine Platform, with our initial product focusing on glycemic control.

Joslin Diabetes Center is world-renowned for its deep expertise in diabetes treatment and research. Joslin is dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes and ensuring that people with diabetes live long, healthy lives.

The Partnership

This research will apply the algorithm diet and the findings from the Israeli and Mayo clinic studies to a target population of adults with type 2 diabetes whose A1C is between 7-10%. The intervention diet will be compared to traditional medical nutrition therapy. Outcome measures include looking at changes in both A1C and TIR (time in range).
